구동사 Go 1 (Feat. 구슬쌤) - Go-to, Go over, Go over well, Go above and beyond

1-1. He's gone for the day. 퇴근 하셨어요

A : Have you seen Dr, Carlin?
B : She's gone for the day. Why?

 

 

1-2. go above and beyond : 상대가 (필요/기대를 넘어) 상상 이상으로 애썼을 때
--to act in a way that exceeds expectations or requirements

You really went above and beyond.
정말 애 많이 썼구나. 노력 많이 했구나.

Thank you for going above and beyond the call of duty.
나라의 부름에 정말 많은 애를 써 주셔서 감사드립니다.

1-3. go-to : 즐겨 찾는

(도를 넘은 행동/발언) 미안. 내가 좀 지나쳤지.

1-5. I still have a long way to go : 아직 갈 길이 멀어요
--to still have a significant amount of work to do in order to accomplish something.

2. go + 동사원형

go get = go and get 가서 ~ 하다. 

A : You've had a long day. Let's go get a drink.
B : After what happened today, I think I might have two.
오늘 있었던 일을 생각하면 두 잔은 마셔야 할지도 몰라.

I need to go run an errand.
나 가서 볼일좀 봐야해.

 

 

3. go = 진행되다.

Hope this goes smoothly.
아무문제없이 순조롭게 진행됐으면 좋겠다.

4-1. go over : 건너가다.

4-2. go over : 검토하다/다르다/짚고 넘어가다 (to review or explain something)

--to practice and repeat something in order to learn it.

5. go over well : (생각/행동이) 잘 받아들여지다/좋은 평을 받다
--to be received in a specified manner, to be accepted or well received
